Principe di Gerace biodynamic lentils are grown in our farm in the green hills of Abruzzo. Thanks to the biodynamic method and the respect of the natural cycles of the plants, we are able to preserve the freshness and goodness of the product and to make the soils more fertile. Lentils, in fact, are an extraordinary legume, not only for their organoleptic properties, but also for their ability to improve the fertility of the soil thanks to the nitrogen-fixing properties of the plant.
As evidenced by the archaeological finds, lentils have been consumed since the prehistoric age, and have always been considered the meat of the poor. Important food for a Vegan and Vegetarian diet thanks to its very high protein content, rich in iron and antioxidants, it is a legume suitable for the most varied recipes. From soups to salads and pasta or as a special ingredient for the preparation of salads, flans or delicious meatballs.
